Of course, your trip is primarily about Real Madrid, but it would be a shame to only visit the stadium. Madrid is a beautiful city with plenty of things to see and do, many of which can easily be combined with a visit to a Real Madrid match.
During my many visits, I always try to make some time to explore more of the city. Below you’ll find some of the places I personally think are well worth visiting.
Madrid’s most famous park and a wonderful place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Walk past the impressive Palacio de Cristal, rent a rowing boat on the lake or simply enjoy the peace and quiet among the many trees and monuments.

The iconic bullring of Madrid and one of the city’s most recognisable buildings. Even if you’re not interested in bullfighting, the architecture is impressive, and a guided tour offers an interesting insight into an important part of Spanish culture.

The Royal Palace of Madrid is one of the largest palaces in Europe and an absolute must-see during your visit. The richly decorated rooms, historic spaces and impressive architecture make this one of the most beautiful attractions in Madrid.

Casa de Campo is Madrid’s largest urban park and an ideal place to escape the busy city centre. You can walk, cycle or take the cable car for a beautiful view over Madrid.

One of the most unique places in Madrid is Templo de Debod, an authentic Egyptian temple in the heart of the city. It is particularly beautiful around sunset, making it a fantastic spot for photos and a peaceful moment during your stay.
